Boot Hill–OC’s Most Elaborate Lawn Display Oct. 11-27
In its 20th year, the residence at 16 Goldenrod in Irvine will transform the property to the old church and cemetery that once occupied the grounds. For nine spooky nights, visit the most elaborate display in Orange County! This is FREE and proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

The Heritage Festival and Parade Oct. 12
Since 1965, this celebration of the city’s heritage includes a parade and fair booths. The festivities begin with the Chamber of Commerce pancake breakfast followed by a parade and band review. The festival features many exciting activities for the entire family including the annual car show, a crafts fair, food booths, kids games and more.

Irvine Global Village Festival Oct. 12-13
This one-day festival celebrates and embraces the diverse cultures of Irvine. More than 100 performances are expected along with international cuisine, cultural exhibits, children’s activities, and much more.

Silverado Days Oct. 18-20
Held each October, this festival includes games, crafts, contests, rides, food and fun for the whole family. Parking and admission for this event are FREE!

OC Japan Fair Oct. 18-20

Annual Historical Cemetery Tour Oct. 19

Tall Ships Festival Sept. 6-8
The 35th Annual Ocean Institute Tall Ships & Ocean Festival features a spectacular array of family-fun activities including live music, art shows and a variety of tasty food. Interactive living-history encampments including blacksmiths, scrimshaw artists, and the infamous Port Royal Privateers are sure to entertain and amaze guests of all ages and are not to be missed. Bubble Run – Anaheim Sept. 7
If you’re not into running 5K’s that’s O.K.! The Bubble Run is for adults, teenagers, and children! Run through bubbles and foam after each kilometer for a total of 3 miles. Run, walk, or dance your way to the finish line!

Orange County Craft Beer Festival Sept. 7
This year there will be over 100 breweries serving over 160 craft & import beers plus awesome food, live entertainment, beer seminars, all at the best location in Orange County.

Oktoberfest Sept. 8 – October

The ninth annual Catalina Film Festival will present films from dozens of countries in a variety of categories, including features, animation, documentaries and shorts. Also, career tributes — Richard Dreyfuss, Kevin Hart and Rosie Perez were among the 2018 honorees — industry panels, workshops and a Lion’s Den pitch session will be among the activities.

Ohana Festival Sept. 27-29
The Ohana Festival in Dana Point is a three-day music festival with a diverse line up. Proceeds from the festival will be donated to the San Onofre Parks Foundation, a California nonprofit that works with the state to preserve the environment and enhance the recreational experience of the coastal parks.

stage. In the 2018 production, “Under the Sun,” the Pageant will honor Laguna’s own and other artistic pioneers from around the world who left their studios in search of new inspiration.

World Record Attempt: Huntington Peach June 9
In collaboration with the City of Huntington Beach and Miracles for Kids; The Next Fun Thing and The Emovation Project will unite over 1,000 people on June 9, 2019 to beat the world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as a fruit or vegetable. This world record attempt will be benefiting the children and families affiliated with, Miracles for Kids. Miracles for Kids helps support families who are living at (or below) the poverty line who also have a child that has been diagnosed with a critical illness.

Annual Fête de La Musique June 15
The festival is celebrated worldwide on, or near, the beginning of summer. LBSCA has crafted its Fête de la Musique to promote Laguna Beach performing arts through live music by singers and musicians.

Summer of Mud Run 2019 June 15

Annual Cinco De Mayo Fiesta May 4
2019 will mark the 29th year of celebrating Mexican culture in our Spanish Village by the Sea. The Annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration showcases live entertainment featuring traditional Mariachi’s and Ballet Folklorico to Cumbias, Tex Mex, and Salsa dancers. Community groups will be serving up authentic Mexican food fare and other activities will include an Art Contest, Carnival Game booths and a vendor area.

OC Marathon May 5
The SDCCU OC Marathon Course will start in front of our Official Start Line Hotel, the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa just south of Santa Barbara Drive. Scottish Fest May 25-26
The 87th Annual Scottish Fest is Southern California’s largest Scottish and Celtic Festival! The event features hundreds of bagpipers and drummers, Scottish and Irish food and vendors, Scottish clans, Highland dancing and traditional Scottish feats of strength like the hammer throw, putting the stone and caber toss. Part of the United Scottish Society, the festival was established in 1932 and was called a Highland Games in the tradition of Scottish heritage.

Veterans of War Memorial Day Event May 27
Dana Point Veterans of War Post 9934 presents this annual Memorial Day Event held at Pines Park in Capistrano Beach. A special part of this program is the “Boots and Rifle” ceremony conducted by officers of Post 9934, and the bugle call, TAPS played by that master of the trumpet, David Longoria. This Memorial Day Service for 2019 will include special recognition for those family members who support members of the military services while they are deployed to combat operations.
